New Ewe Lamb Retention Program -- announced Feb. 19, 2004 -- USDA launched an $18 million program to enhance the competitiveness of the domestic lamb and sheep industry and re-establish producers' purchasing power. The Ewe Lamb Replacement and Retention Program paid producers $18 per head for ewe lambs purchased or retained between Aug. 1, 2003 , and July 31, 2004.

United State Animal Identification Program -- The United States Animal Identification Plan defines the standards and framework for
implementing a phased-in national animal identification system.
USDA Market Reports (livestock & grain) -- this free service is designed to provide quick, convenient access to Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) reports. Mann Library at Cornell University and the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) have also formed a partnership in developing an email subscription based version of this system.
