ISA PRESENTS AWARD TO DISTRICT 3

URBANDALE, Iowa - The Iowa Soybean Association (ISA) recently announced district awards at this year’s policy conference in Ames. ISA Producer Services Coordinators presented the All in Day’s Work District Award to District 3, which is in the northeastern part of the state. Over the last year, several All in a Day’s Work events have been held across Iowa. The events provide a chance for producers to meet with fellow soybean farmers, ISA staff and knowledgeable, guest speakers to inform them on the most up to date changes and advancements in the soybean industry.

District 3 was chosen for this award because more than 125 producers attended the three events scheduled throughout last year, including a marketing seminar in Calmar in December; the Decision 2008 seminar in Waterloo in March; and an Ag Info for All Ages seminar in Independence in June. There was also more than $1,500 worth of sponsorship received for these events.

The Iowa Soybean Association develops policies and programs that help farmers expand profit opportunities while promoting environmentally sensitive production using the soybean checkoff and other resources. The Association is governed by an elected volunteer board of 21 farmers.
