Natural Hazards Center (University of Colorado, Boulder). A "national and international clearinghouse for information on natural hazards and human adjustments to hazards and disasters." Includes the newsletter Natural Hazards Observer, details on upcoming meetings, bibliographies, links to other Internet sites and other useful information. (link verified 25 June 2008)

Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Distributed Active Archive Data Center (DAAC).  "A source for biogeochemical and ecological data useful for studying environmental processes. These data have been collected on the ground, from aircraft, or by satellite or have been generated by computer models. The extent of data ranges from site-specific to global, and durations range from days to years. " (link verified 25 June 2008)

Ocean-Atmosphere-Ice Interactions (OAII) Science Management Office.   Operated by the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, Horn Point Laboratory.  "Growing concern about the Arctic System's sensitivity to global change plus the recognition of the Arctic as an agent of such change led to the creation of the National Science Foundation (NSF) Arctic Systems Science (ARCSS) program in 1988. OAII is a component of ARCSS and was established in 1991. ARCSS has a mandate to examine both the Arctic's influence on climate, and the potential for climate change to affect the Arctic System including its human dimensions and renewable resources... Since its inception, the thrust of the OAII component has been to investigate the arctic marine environment in the context of global change." (link verified 25 June 2008)
