TVA To Redeem Debt Securities

TVA announced today that on Feb. 15, it will redeem three issues of securities from the TVA electronotes® series.

TVA will redeem all of its 2001 6-percent electronotes® due Dec. 15, 2021. The bonds are identified by the CUSIP number 88059TAN1. Approximately $25 million of the 88059TAN1 securities are currently outstanding.

TVA will redeem all of its 2002 5.5-percent electronotes® due Aug. 15, 2022. The bonds are identified by the CUSIP number 88059TBE0. Approximately $28 million of the 88059TBE0 securities are currently outstanding.

TVA will redeem all of its 2006 5.625-percent electronotes® due Aug. 15, 2016. The bonds are identified by the CUSIP number 88059TDT5. Approximately $4 million of the 88059TDT5 securities are currently outstanding.

Each of the issues of electronotes® will be redeemed at 100 percent of par value. The redemption price and any accrued interest will be paid to eligible holders through The Depository Trust Company.

TVA’s electronotes® program offers securities for retail investors in a variety of structures and maturities. As of Dec. 31, 2007, TVA had 71 issues of electronotes® outstanding, including the three being called in February. TVA’s rated securities are rated Aaa by Moody’s Investors Service and AAA by Standard and Poor’s and Fitch Ratings.

TVA provides power to large industries and 159 power distributors that serve approximately 8.8 million consumers in seven southeastern states. TVA also manages the Tennessee River and its tributaries to provide multiple benefits, including flood damage reduction, navigation, water quality and recreation.
