Every hunting career starts with a first. Your first gun. Your first hunt. Your first harvest. The Pennsylvania Game Commission recognizes the importance of firsts and has created a certificate to help successful hunters commemorate their first big game harvest whether it was a white-tailed deer, wild turkey, black bear or the majestic elk.
If you were fortunate enough to have taken a big game animal in Penn's Woods, let me be the first from the agency to congratulate you on your accomplishment. I'm sure your harvest will be a source of inspiration and a stop on memory lane that you will revisit again and again. Please recognize, too, that your harvest likely is an unforgettable event your family will retell in years to come.
Given the importance of big game firsts to hunters and their families, the Game Commission is offering an attractive certificate suitable for framing that - with minimal effort - proudly will showcase that special moment in a hunter's life and a family's hunting history.
