HARTFORD – A woman’s place is in the camp – the Lewis and Clark Expedition’s Camp River Dubois, to be exact.
12/22/08 - Private donation will reopen Vandalia Statehouse
VANDALIA – A one-time anonymous donation will allow the Vandalia Statehouse State Historic Site to reopen to the public five days per week through the end of June 2009, in time for the site to welcome visitors for the February 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial. The site was among 11 across Illinois that closed December 1 as a result of a $2.8 million budget reduction sustained by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency (IHPA), which administers Illinois’ historic sites.
12/15/08 - Governor Blagojevich Signs Legislation to Strengthen Illinois’ Film Tax Credit
Increasing tax credit from 20 percent to 30 percent will encourage additional film business in Illinois
Building on his commitment to help the Illinois film industry continue to achieve record success, Governor Rod R. Blagojevich today signed Senate Bill 1981, legislation that renews and strengthens the Illinois Film Tax Credit.
