River Source Information Center
The River Source Information Center is our primary vehicle for delivering service and support to our Partners. Source Center services are available to all River Network Partners all the time.
Source Center staff:
- Responds to requests for assistance over our 1-800 hot line, e-mail lists, and the Web;
- Develops and distributes publications;
- Leads the development of Web site content;
- Maintains an extensive resource library;
- Conducts research;
- Offers referrals to other sources of assistance.
Training Services
We provide a wide variety of training services. We organize some of these training programs directly. We also assist other organizations with regional and statewide training events they organize. River Network training services range from one-hour workshops to week-long programs. They include standardized programs that have been developed through years of evolution and customized programs that are developed in response to special requests.
Consultation Services
We provide consultation services to a large and growing number of organizations each year. We work directly with specific organizations in consulting projects that range in duration from a half-day to three years. When setting up these projects we work with the client group's staff and volunteer leadership to assess needs, establish project goals, and determine the scope and duration of the project. Goals for these projects may be organizational, programmatic, or both.
Publications
We provide helpful publications to assist our Partners and others in their work. Partners receive a 20% discount on publications. Visit our Marketplace.
Grant Programs
River Network Partner Grants: Occasionally, River Network makes funds available through our Partner Grant program. At this time, River Network is not accepting applications through the Partner Grant program.
Our Fees
Partnership Program
Partner fees are $100 per year. Partners receive the services in our River Source Information Center free of charge and access to our grant programs. They also enjoy a 20% discount on all River Network Publications. Find out more about becoming a Partner. (link to Partner site)
Trainings and Consultations
An initial telephone consultation is usually available free of charge. Once an agreement for ongoing consultation has been reached, our standard fee for consultation with nonprofit groups is $1,000 per day required for lead project staff, plus any travel expenses. This fee is discounted, sometimes heavily, when we enjoy foundation or government support for a training program or for our work in a region. Please don't hesitate to contact us about taking advantage of these intensive services.
