Time-Limited Collectible Series

These numbered limited edition, turkey calls and knives are the second offering in two 5-year series. In addition to investing in these two unique collections you will be also supporting wildlife conservation, and helping to preserve our hunting heritage.

There are three ways to order these collectible items: on-line, mail, or telephone. Mail and telephone orders involve using a downloadable order form. You can fill out the application on your computer or by hand. Next you have the choice to either mail it or call in the order by dialing 1-888-888-3459. If you call, fill out the order form first and then use the information on it to speed up the ordering process. All last year's customers' numbers will be reserved until May 31, 2008. Telephone calls and on-line ordering will require a credit card. Mail orders can be paid with a credit card number, personal check or money order.

Wild Turkey Heritage Series

The “Wild Turkey Heritage Series” features five collectible box style turkey calls, made right here in Pennsylvania by Top Calls in Renovo. Each year the call will be made from a different species of Pennsylvania wood. The first of this series was made of Cedar. This years call is made of walnut. Calls made of cherry, sassafras will be offered in years three and four, for the last year, a combination of Walnut, Maple and Sycamore. Each call is individually numbered, comes in a green velvet bag and features a stage in the life cycle of the eastern wild turkey.

Upland game Bird Series

The "Upland Game Bird Series" features five collectible Case Mini-Trapper knives, with each knife in the series featuring a different upland game bird: ruffed grouse, woodcock, ring-necked pheasant, bobwhite quail and mourning dove.  Each knife will be made with a different bone handle: bone stag, chestnut bone, old red bone, amber bone and antique bone.  Each knife will come in its own attractive tin canister featuring artwork of that year's upland game bird.  Like the turkey calls, each knife will be individually numbered as well.

Fine Art Print and Patches

Complementing the call and knife of each series will be a specially designed fine art print and collector's patch designed by Gerald Putt. Each art print and patch will represent the unique wildlife art used for, respectively, the call and knife designs.

The edition size in these series will be based on the number of orders received. A new call and knife, and accompanying prints and patches, will be introduced every January for the next four years and the prices will not increase.

Order early to be assigned the lowest number possible in each series. Delivery can be expected between October through December, 2008.

The Artist

GERALD PUTT is a wildlife and nature artist who grew up in the small, quiet, rural central Pennsylvania town of Boiling Springs, where a picturesque log building is now home to Gerry's studio and wildlife art gallery. The ducks on the lake in his hometown inspired him at a young age and later became one of his first subjects. Putt's dream was to have one of his paintings on the cover of Pennsylvania Game News and that dream came true in October 1981. Since then Gerry's been long time contributor to Game News and recently completed his 30th Game News cover painting. In 2007 he became the only "7-time Winner" of the Pennsylvania Duck Stamp and has done state duck stamps for Colorado, Illinois and North Carolina. Gerry also has won the Game Commission's Working Together for Wildlife fine art contest twice and its 2001 Elk fine art contest.

An avid conservationist, he is in his fourth decade of supporting conservation groups such as Ducks Unlimited, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the Ruffed Grouse Society, Trout Unlimited, The Nature Conservancy, The Wildlands Conservancy and the National Wild Turkey Federation as well as many others, do their work to save, improve and restore habitat for wildlife. Gerry believes, "An artist cannot rest on one's laurels, but must strive to improve with each and every painting." You may visit Gerry's gallery at 4 Front St., Boiling Springs, PA 17007, his web site at www.geraldputt.com or call (717) 258-3775.

The Craftsmen

TOP CALLS was established in 1994 as a game call company with a vision. The vision was to produce some of the finest quality handcrafted game calls on the market today. With over 70 years of combined hunting experience, owners Russ Wagner, Frank Sutliff & Frank Sutliff Jr. have successfully used their products both in the field and on the calling competition stages across the United States. With each call being individually handcrafted and tuned, Top Calls can assure you that every call will consistently produce authentic sounds as only Mother Nature intended them to be -- "WILD."

Every call is made by a hunter for a hunter, and with every sale the company strives not only to have a satisfied customer, but to also make a friend to the sport that we all love so much. Allow TOP CALLS to be part of your hunt and you will see why its calls are truly "The Sounds of the Wild."

W.R. CASE & SONS CUTLERY COMPANY is a Pennsylvania manufacturer of premium, hand-crafted knives that are built to be passed down for generations. The company's rich history began in 1889 when William Russell ("W.R."), Jean, John and Andrew Case began fashioning knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. Today the Case Company is owned by Zippo Manufacturing Company (makers of the world famous Zippo windproof lighter), another family-owned business based in Bradford, PA.

Case credits its 350 associates with maintaining its industry position by constantly pioneering the use of new materials in ever-changing knife designs. Case's commitment to quality is evident in the 125 pairs of hands it takes to create one knife. Blades are stamped from high-quality domestic steel and hardened with precise heat treatment. Artisans craft handles using the finest natural materials, bringing together a knife that's not only beautiful, but also stands the tests of time and use. A unique tang stamp dating system that's been used since the very early days of its history has cemented the Case brand as one of the most recognized and valuable collectibles in the industry.
