Superintendent's Message
Thank you for your interest in the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We receive over 5 million visitors at Liberty and Ellis Islands annually and we hope you will enjoy visiting our park homepage. The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are very special places in the minds and hearts of people from all over the world. Throughout her first 100 years, millions upon millions of people have passed Lady Liberty in New York Harbor, while enroute to new lives in a new land.
Many people travel far distances from all corners of the globe to visit these important icons of democracy, freedom and opportunity. Whatever your special reason is for visiting Liberty and Ellis Islands, I hope that your stay with us is enjoyable, educational and inspiring.
