Our Asparagus season has begun. If you place your order now, we will ship to you as soon as it is appropriate for your zone. Crowns are shipped, according to your zone, from mid December through mid April via UPS 2nd-day air. Shipping may be delayed by extreme cold. Ideally asparagus crowns should be planted within one week of their arrival. Planting instructions are provided.

Our Organic Asparagus Crowns
A crown is the root system of an asparagus plant. These
crowns are one year old, and ready to plant in your garden upon receipt. Expect to harvest 1/2
pound of spears per crown each year one year after establishment.
These modern varieties offer significant improvements in yield and disease resistance
over the traditional open-pollinated strains.
Asparagus is a long lived perennial (15 years
or more) so choose a permanent location in your garden before planting. It is adaptable to a
wide range of soil types and climates,but prefers a welldrained
soil with a ph from 6.5-7.5.
