Pep Band 2007-08
MCC’s Pep Band is an exciting and challenging
experience for the students. Pep Band members have the opportunity
to rehearse once a week, play for many of the MCC women’s and men’s
home basketball games, and perform in an end of the semester
concert. They are required to learn music, sometimes very quickly to
be able to perform it on short notice.
My expectations of the Pep
Band this year are that our participants will become better
musicians and be able to play more difficult music. I want to
challenge each and every one of them to play music that is harder
than what they are accustomed to, thus enabling them to grow as
musicians and as players. So far, my expectations have been met by
this year’s Pep Band. They are energetic, hard-working, motivated,
and excited to be a part of MCC’s Band!
