DISCLAIMER.
- Computer programs useful in developing allowable properties for a
single species under ASTM D1990 (Developed by James Evans and
Vicki Herian)
- sratio
- tempadj
- mcadj
- nonpar
- datacheck
- allfromr

- Lumber strength properties vary with changes in moisture
content.
Moisture content adjustment program allows you to predict a
property of dimension lumber at a target moisture content given that
you know the value of the property at an initial moisture content.
(Developed by James Evans and Vicki Herian)
- NONPAR - Nonparametric estimation program
calculates nonparametric estimates of percentiles, associated
confidence intervals, and tolerance limits of the percentiles from a
data set. It can also give order statistics needed for any samples
size to create the same estimates. (Developed by James Evans, Vicki
Herian, and Angela Mitchell)
- A program to calculate Weibull, Normal, and Lognormal estimates of
percentiles from a data set. This program also calculates confidence
intervals and tolerance limits for the percentiles. (Developed by
James Evans and Vicki Herian)
- A program to calculate the
K needed for parametric one-sided
tolerance bounds for normal distributions. (Developed by Steve Verrill)
- Fire retardant strength degradation
program
- Calculates kinetic parameter estimates and plots predictions of
in-service fire retardant treated wood. (Developed by Patti Lebow)
- The drying schedule program (Developed
by Steve Verrill and Bill Simpson)
- The board feet to cubic feet ratio
estimation program program (Developed
by Steve Verrill, Vicki Herian, and Henry Spelter)
- The predictor sort
program (Developed by Steve Verrill and Vicki Herian)
- Power and sample size calculations for
balanced ANOVAs (Developed by Steve Verrill)
- Power calculations, hypothesis testing, and
estimation for general linear models (Developed by Steve Verrill)
- Obtain an exact two-sided confidence interval for the
coefficient of variation of a normal distribution (Developed by Steve Verrill)
- Obtain an exact one-sided lower confidence bound on a
coefficient of variation of a normal distribution (Developed by Steve Verrill)
- Obtain an exact one-sided upper confidence bound on the
coefficient of variation of a normal distribution (Developed by Steve Verrill)
- Obtain an exact confidence interval for the
coefficient of variation of a lognormal distribution (Developed by Steve Verrill)
- Obtain confidence bounds on the ratio of the coefficients of
variation of two normally distributed populations (Developed by Steve Verrill and Rich Johnson)
- Perform a likelihood ratio test of the
hypothesis that k normally distributed populations share the same
coefficient of variation (Developed by Steve Verrill and Rich Johnson)

variation shared by k normally distributed populations (Developed by Steve Verrill and Rich Johnson)
- Many "glitchy" regressions applets
(Developed by Steve Verrill)
- A microfibril angle estimation applet
(Developed by Steve Verrill, Dave Kretschmann, and Vicki Herian)
- Java regression,
linear algebra, optimization, quadrature, cumulative distribution function, and random number generation software
(Developed by Steve Verrill)
- 10/1997 simulation of a proposed ASTM
acceptance testing protocol for
duration of load samples (Developed by Steve Verrill)
- 3/1999 simulation of ASTM acceptance
testing of plastic lumber (Developed by Steve Verrill)
- 9/2000 simulation of a revised ASTM
acceptance testing protocol for
duration of load samples (Developed by Steve Verrill)
