Topics discussed are: building self-esteem and confidence, goal setting, time management, anger management, and communication skills. Financial Literacy Training A 9 hour (3 session) course, which teaches you financial tools that are key to your personal life as well as the success of your business. There is a Free Credit Counseling attached with this course. Topics discussed are: understanding wealth, credit, banking, budgeting and taxes. Core Four Business Planning A 30 hour (9 session) course, which teaches the four core bodies of knowledge that a business owner must have in order to operate a successful business. The Louisiana Business and Technology Center's mobile classroom, dubbed the "Driving Louisiana’s Economy" initiative, is a custom-designed 18-wheeler trailer retrofitted to house seminars and workshops for small business owners.
The mobile classroom is scheduled to visit 37 Louisiana parishes to present various programs including leadership development seminars, small business workshops on a variety of topics, women and minority business forums, entrepreneurship training, business planning and marketing workshops, access to capital workshops, and Small Business Innovation Research grant seminars.
