The Academy has run education programs to help precollege students to develop scientific skills, conduct in-depth investigations, and understand science as a career. Through complementary programs for teachers, the Academy has also helped to improve the quality of science education in local schools.
Although a great source of pride for our members, the Academy has suspended its science education program for fiscal reasons as of summer 2007. Some activities in which it was involved will continue in other forms, however. Please read further for more information.
