KSID is a database of satellite images and image-derived map products covering Kansas. KSID currently consists of imagery and products from five different sensors: Landsat MSS, Landsat TM, Landsat ETM+, Terra MODIS, and Terra ASTER.

Images in KSID have been purchased by a variety of funding sources. These sources include the Kansas GIS Policy Board, the Kansas Biological Survey, AmericaView Inc., Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, and the KARS Program through grants and contracts from several state and federal agencies.
