NASA debuts Global Hawk autonomous aircraft for Earth science
WASHINGTON (AFNS) -- NASA and the Northrop Grumman Corp. of Los Angeles have unveiled the first Global Hawk aircraft system to be used for environmental science research. 

Air Force officials transferred two Global Hawks to NASA in December 2007 to be used for missions to support research projects that require high-altitude, long-distance airborne capability.
