Chertoff and Gutierrez Outline Bush Administration Immigration Reforms
Washington (Aug. 10)—Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff and Secretary of Commerce Carlos M. Gutierrez held a press conference to outline the Bush Administration's efforts to improve border security and immigration within existing law. The reforms will enhance border security as well as interior and exterior enforcement, while also streamlining existing guest worker programs to ensure we have the workforce needed to keep our economy strong.
