Rich Grife
Head Coach: Rich Grife

Coach Rich Grife played baseball professionally from 1995 to 1999. In 1998 he attended spring training with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and from 1995 to 1997 was with the Cleveland Indians organization. He is a graduate of Indian Hills Community College and Morningside College, where he was the pitching coach from 1997 to 2002 before coming to Marshalltown. Coach Grife is entering his tenth year of coaching. He resides in Haverhill with his wife, Joanie, and their three children, Liberty, Ella and Brady.
Chris Beall

Assistant Coach: Chris Beall


Coach Chris Beall played for the MCC Tigers during the 2002-2003 seasons before transferring to Simpson College, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He previously served as assistant coach at BCLUW High School, head coach at Grundy Center High School, and as an assistant coach for the Simpson Storm. This will be his third year with the MCC Tigers.

Lynn Cripps

Volunteer Assistant: Lynn Cripps

Coach Lynn Cripps is a long-time supporter of the MCC Tigers. He played baseball throughout high school, garnering numerous honors including being named to the All-State Honor Roll. He played one year at DMACC and one year at MCC under Head Coach Babe Harder. He served as a Marshalltown police officer for many years until he was injured in the line of duty in 2002. He is now employed at Sports Plus Physical Therapy as a physical therapy aide. He also works for Perfect Game USA Baseball as a coach and is facility manager and lead instructor for Game 7 Baseball and Softball Training Academy. He lives in Marshalltown with his wife, Anni. They have two grown children, Christina and Nicholas.
