Four-Year Online Programs
Washington State University Distance Degree Programs, Edmonds Community College and Bellevue Community College work in partnership to offer all WSU DDP bachelor’s degrees completely online.
How it works
Students complete their transfer associate’s degree online from Bellevue or Edmonds Community College and then apply for admission to WSU DDP to complete their bachelor’s degree online.
While at the community college, students work with their community college advisor to earn a transfer associate’s degree that also fulfills the WSU bachelor of arts lower-division general education requirements (GER) prerequisites. Once accepted into WSU DDP, students work with a DDP academic advisor to identify the necessary courses needed to complete their degree.

WSU DDP is proud to partner with the following Washington state community colleges to offer co-admission to students interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or Business Administration (Management and Operations, Management Information Systems, Entrepreneurship, or International Business).

How it works
Co-Application Process
- Students apply for co-admission to WSU DDP after applying and being admitted to a partner community college. Request a co-admission application form from your advisor. Complete the application and return it to your community college advisor.
- Students are conditionally accepted to WSU DDP (students have up to 16 consecutive quarters to complete their associate degree and must meet the minimum cumulative GPA).
Community College Courses
- Students work with their community college advisor to earn a transfer associate’s degree that also fulfills the WSU bachelor of arts lower-division general education requirements (GER) prerequisites. Courses at the community colleges can be taken either online or on campus (or a combination of the two).
Transitioning to WSU DDP
- Providing that students complete their associate degree within 16 consecutive quarters and have the required cumulative GPA they can continue their education at WSU DDP. Students must complete a WSU transfer application and admission is guaranteed if the co-admission conditions are met. A DDP academic advisor will create a personalized academic progress report for the student that identifies the requirements that must be met to earn a bachelor of arts degree.
Washington State University Distance Degree Programs Courses
- Students continue to work with their DDP academic advisor as they pursue their degree. Students take all of their courses online through WSU DDP. (If students decide they want to attend classes on a WSU campus instead of taking online courses they must apply separately for admission to the WSU campus of their choice.)
Note: Co-admission is different from dual enrollment. With co-admission, students complete all of their lower-division courses through the community college and then complete their upper-division courses through DDP. In a dual enrollment arrangement students are allowed to take courses at two different institutions at the same time.
