Beginning spring 2009, DDP and the College of Business are offering a major in international business online.
The study of international business involves understanding the global economy, competing in rapidly changing international markets, and developing skills for a productive career in a changing environment.
Washington State University’s International Business program, ranked 18th in the nation in the 2007 US News and World Report, prepares students for employment with multinational corporations, overseas assignments, and positions that carry worldwide responsibilities.
The deadline to apply for spring semester admissions is Dec. 19.

College of Business Certification Requirements:
To certify as an international business major, students must have:
- a 2.5 cumulative grade point average
- 60 semester credits
- a 2.5 GPA in the following certifying courses:
- Acctg 230 & 231
- B Law 210
- MgtOp 215
- EconS 101 & 102
- Engl 101
- Math 201 & 202
- MIS 250
Note: WSU Academic Regulations 34 states that students may ONLY repeat a course in which they have received a grade of C- or below, a withdrawal (W), or when a course may be repeated for additional credit. See Academic Regulations for more information.

Required Foreign Study Curriculum:
9 semester credits from an approved foreign study program.
Required except for students studying at WSU who reside outside the United States and who attended at least one year of secondary school in a foreign country. Please check with the International Business director before registering for foreign study.
Required Foreign Languages:
One year of foreign language beyond the high school level. The second semester may be taken during foreign study.
Non-native English speakers and bilingual Americans should check with the department on this requirement.
