To further Governor Kulongoski's renewable energy initiatives, the Oregon Department of Energy is establishing a statewide Solar Energy Working Group (SEWG). This group will bring together stakeholders to develop a strategic plan for solar energy. This policy document will identify the opportunities for advancement in four main areas of focus.
- Policy Infrastructure (laws, licenses, utility issues);
- Workforce development (training);
- Manufacturing (supply side recruitment and business development);
- Local Market and Public Education (new and existing construction, marketing, incentives, schools).
