More information is available from the park's field headquarters in Port Alsworth (main office: 907-781-2218, visitor's center: 907-781-2106) or the administrative headquarters in Anchorage (907-644-3626). Our field office in Homer (907-235-7903) is staffed year-round and during the summer months, a park ranger is stationed at the Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center and the Pratt Museum.

Did You Know?
The nest and eggs of the surfbird were a mystery until 1926. The species is extraordinarily far-ranging, and in winter is found from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego in southern Chile.
