At the Seattle Tilth's Children's Garden, all of the gardening is done by children. Kids use tools just their size to care for our garden. We offer programs for children ages 2 to 10 throughout the school year and also during the summer.
Earth Steward Tours

Visit the Children's Garden! Hands on learning opportunities include: exploring worm bins, taking a sensory tour and learning to take care of a productive, diverse, organic veggie garden. We also love to sing and play games!
Monday Morning Programs

The younger one love the garden and we have activites perfect for this age group.

Volunteer Naturalist/ Rock Star
Adults & older students:
Interested in exploring the magic of the worm bin? Receive free ongoing training to lead tours at the Children's Garden exploring garden ecology and having tons of fun!

Summer Camps & Programs
Enjoy summer at the Children's Garden!
Unique opportunities for fun garden adventures, crafts, songs, and games, while spending time outdoors & learning how to grow a garden.
Special Events at Seattle Tilth
From the Kid's Parade at the Harvest Fair to the craft activities at the Edible Plant Sale, children of all ages will enjoy songs, games, stories and scavenging for insects and other garden surprises. Check the website periodically for other events and opportunities throughout the year.

The Children's Garden is located in a former swimming pool behind NE of the adult demonstration Garden behind the Good Shepherd Center in the Wallingford neighborhood.
