Seattle Tilth's Children's Garden - for kids & families

Seattle Tilth's Children's Garden is sprouting young gardeners year round.

 At the Seattle Tilth's Children's Garden, all of the gardening is done by children.  Kids use tools just their size to care for our garden.  We offer programs for children ages 2 to 10 throughout the school year and also during the summeMaya with ladybug 106r. 

Earth Steward Tours
Schools & Classrooms

Visit the Children's Garden! Hands on learning opportunities include: exploring worm bins, taking a sensory tour and learning to take care of a productive, diverse, organic veggie garden.  We also love to sing and play games!

Monday Morning Programs
Ages 2 to 5 years

The younger one love the garden and we have activites perfect for this age group.

"Soil In A Box" & "Teach Peace Through Gardening"
We bring the garden to your School!

Fulfills science requirements.

Volunteer Naturalist/ Rock Star
Adults & older students:
Interested in exploring the magic of the worm bin? Receive free ongoing training to lead tours at the Children's GSam at Lamb's Ear 380arden exploring garden ecology and having tons of fun!

For Educators:
"Let's Get Growing! Planting Your Garden Classroom." Inquire about ongoing presentations & workshops.

Summer Camps & Programs
Enjoy summer at the Children's Garden!
Unique opportunities for fun garden adventures, crafts, songs, and games, while spending time outdoors & learning how to grow a garden.

Special Events at Seattle Tilth
From the Kid's Parade at the Harvest Fair to the craft activities at the Edible Plant Sale, children of all ages will enjoy songs, games, stories and scavenging for insects and other garden surprises. Check the website periodically for other events and opportunities throughout the year.

Visit Us! 
The Children's Garden is located in a former swimming pool behind NE of the adult demonstration Garden behind the Good Shepherd Center  in the Wallingford neighborhood.
