Clearinghouse Grant Writing Workshop Schedule 2008-2009

Please join us for one of our twelve (12) free grant writing workshops this season to kick off the Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2010 grant programs in the Clearinghouse. The workshops will be held across the state starting December 8, 2008 and ending January 15, 2009. Each workshop attendee will recieve a free Grant Writing Workbook that contains the training powerpoint, instructions, sample grant proposal and updated information on this year's grant programs. Learn how to write and submit a grant proposal to the Grants Clearinghouse, get updates on new changes to the system and answers to commonly asked questions.

In addition to the 12 workshops, at four (4) select locations- Santa Barbara, Temecula, Marin and Sacramento- there will be a free 1 hour public relations workshop on "Getting your Story Told"-work “smarter, not harder” getting the fire safe message out, using tips and techniques of public relations pros. You will learn how to develop an information campaign plan and implement it, gain support from your elected representatives and stakeholders, and get your story told! During this one hour overview you will receive the materials to begin or streamline public information campaigns for your Fire Safe Council.
