The Garden Hotline's specialty is offering individualized solutions to garden problems.  For over 20 years, we have been providing our services FREE to all home gardeners and landscape professionals.  Our mission is to educate the public on ways to reduce waste, conserve water and other natural resources, and minimize the use of chemicals.

Our staff is a team of professional horticulturalists and educators with experience and expertise in:

  • Safe, effective pest and weed control

  • Natural lawn care practices

  • Plant care and disease solutions

  • Plant selection

  • Composting and soil building techniques

    ...and much, much more!

The Garden Hotline Staff also present workshops and seminars on natural yard care and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices, provide articles for local and regional newsletters, and research innovative management practices.

The Garden Hotline and Natural Soil  Building Program are sponsored by Seattle Public Utilities, the Local Hazardous Waste Management Program (LHWMP) in King County, and the Saving Water Partnershp.
