Politics : The handover
As President-elect Barack Obama prepares to settle into the Oval Office, Nature looks at the legacy of George W. Bush's administration, and the emerging policies of his successor. Bush's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief was perhaps his finest hour; addressing nuclear proliferation was not; other areas saw mixed success. With his science team taking shape, Obama certainly has plenty of issues waiting for him to tackle; not least climate change, energy, and the economic downturn.
