Prudent cost management is goal
Beverages and meals at certain Laboratory-sponsored activities, such as interviewing a candidate for a vacancy or weekly office meetings, are no longer paid for by the Lab under changes to Los Alamos' meal policy.
The new policy is effective for meals served at the types of events specified in the new policy (Adobe Acrobat Reader required).
"The change brings the Laboratory in line with the latest Department of Energy policy, designed to 'ensure that prudent cost management is practiced' with regard to meals," said Glenn Kizer, Los Alamos' chief financial officer.
