Laboratory Director Bob Kuckuck and Los Alamos National Security LLC President Michael Anastasio will speak to Laboratory employees at 2 p.m., Thursday from the Administration Building Auditorium at Technical Area 3.
At the meeting, Anastasio, designated director of the Laboratory, will introduce the Los Alamos National Security leadership team, the LANS management approach and discuss major transition activities with the Laboratory work force.
The all-employee talk also will be broadcast live on LABNET Channel 9 and on desktop computers using Real Media Stream and IPTV technology. Standard escorting rules apply for attending the talk in the Administration Building Auditorium.
Los Alamos National Security LLC, a consortium led by the University of California and Bechtel National, will take over management of the Laboratory from UC on June 1. UC's contract to operate the Lab ends May 31.
The meeting with the Lab work force is one of several scheduled meetings over the next week with Anastasio and other LANS senior management in the community. According to a news release from Los Alamos National Security LLC, their schedule is as follows:
• 4:30 p.m. (MST), Thursday, - Anastasio and designated Deputy Manager John Mitchell will conduct a media availability
• Friday (Jan. 20) - Anastasio and Mitchell will meet with selected Northern New Mexico community leaders
• Jan. 23 - Mitchell will meet with retiree organizations
• 7:30 p.m., Jan. 24, Anastasio and Mitchell will meet with community members at the Duane Smith Auditorium at Los Alamos High School. Space is limited to 900.
