Benefits and Employment Services (HR-B) and Fidelity Investments Tax-Exempt Services Co. is hosting a retirement planning seminar May 17 at the Reel Deal Theater in downtown Los Alamos. The seminar begins at 8 a.m.
Topics include an update on the transition of account and record-keeping services for the University of California Retirement Savings Program to Fidelity, a review of investment options available at the end of the transition, transaction deadlines, and where to get information. Investing retirement accounts in uncertain markets also will be discussed, highlighting areas such as market performance, asset allocation strategies and how interest rate increases by the Federal Reserve impact stocks and bonds. The third topic is fundamentals of retirement income planning, how to create a practical plan that gives the confidence of enough income throughout retirement.
