ChemLog, short for Chemical Catalog, is the name for the Lab's new chemical information system. More than 60 entries were submitted during the contest, which was narrowed down by a review committee to a final list of six names. ChemLog, submitted by Jack Purson of Classification (S-7), was then selected by the Lab's chemical users as the name-of-choice. Purson will receive a $50 gift certificate for submitting the winning entry. The new Chemical Catalog provides improved Labwide management of chemical information and container inventories. ChemLog was phased-in last summer and implemented in August. Additional new reporting and functionality will be added over the next few months.
