And the winner is . . .

May 5, 2008

Tony Ladino of the Chemistry and Metallurgy Research Replacement Project Office holds the traveling trophy in the fifth annual Great Garbage Grab sponsored by the Waste Disposition Project and Environmental Protection Division.

The CMRR Green Team picked up 68 bags of litter and refuse from around the CMRR construction site and offices. Teams of Laboratory employees picked up a total of 220 bags of litter.

The Great Garbage Grab is a friendly competition to remove litter and refuse on main roads, parking lots, and immediate areas in and around the technical areas where they work. The organization collecting the most bags of trash receives the "Traveling Trash Trophy." The trophy is retained by the winning organization until the next competition.

Best of the WSST, which is an acronym for Worker Safety and Security Team, was second place with 54 bags of trash collected.
