An opportunity for young students

A chance to share career experiences, education, knowledge, and what it takes to find success and fulfillment in a chosen profession is just one of the opportunities for students at "School to World," February 23 at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The Lab is a co-sponsor of the event.

School to World gives area eighth and ninth grade students a chance to meet career professionals and hear from them what it took to get where they are and the education they need to succeed.

"This is the first year that the Lab is co-sponsoring the School to World conference and I think it is a great opportunity to let students know about the exciting work that we do at the national laboratories," said Carole Rutten of the Community Programs Office (CPO). "I'm hoping that we can get some of the students excited about a career in science."

For more information go to School to World, or to participate as a presenter contact Community Programs at 5-4400.

School to World is a business, government, and education partnership event where students meet one-on-one with professionals to learn what they need to study in high school to achieve their own career dreams.
