A memorial service for Joseph and Marjorie Devaney, both of whom passed away recently, is at 2 p.m. today at Fuller Lodge in Los Alamos.
Marjorie earned a bachelor's degree in math from the University of Denver, and a master's from the University of New Mexico. She worked at the Laboratory for more than 40 years in the computing division.
Joseph earned a doctorate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in physics and began working at Los Alamos in 1950. He retired from the Lab in 1987, continuing part-time until 1997.
They are survived by their daughter, Kathleen, of El Paso, Texas.
