LICENSED PEST CONTROL COMPANIES - WEED CONTROL
|
The Nevada
Department of Agriculture through the Pest
Control Licensing Section and NRS 555 and NAC
555 requires that all pest control companies be
licensed in specific categories of pest control
for which they apply pesticides. The Nevada
Department of Agriculture has made available the
following list of Licensed Pest Control
Companies who are capable of doing various
aspects of weed pest control. Please contact
each pest control company direct to confirm that
that company is eligible (licensed in the
correct category of pest control / weed control)
to conduct weed control for your specific
project.
The following fields and categories are
established for the licensing of pest control
applicators and companies in weed control:

Aerial - The use
of aircraft on standing or running
water, rangeland
or cropland.
Herbicides
(A2) - The application of herbicides and
plant growth regulators.

Agricultural Ground - The use of
ground equipment on rangeland,
cropland or animals.
Herbicides (B2) - The application of
herbicides and plant growth regulators.

Urban and Structural
- The Use of ground equipment in urban
areas and
in, on or around structures.
Ornamental and
Turf (C1) - The control of insects,
weeds, vertebrates and plant diseases
and the use of plant regulators on
ornamental and turf in urban areas if
the fruit trees are not used for
commercial purposes.
Aquatic (C5) - The
control of insects, weeds and
vertebrates in aquatic areas that are
used or are intended for use in and
around industrial complexes,
institutional complexes and dwelling
units.
Right-of-way (C6) - The control of weeds
in the maintenance of rights-of-ways,
including, without limitation, public
roads, power lines pipelines and railway
rights-of-ways.
