The Oregon Natural Heritage Program lists 29 plant species as endangered and 28 other species as threatened. Ten of the endangered species and seven of the threatened ones are also on the list established by the Fish & Wildlife Service of the Federal government. In order to encourage increased interest in our rare and endangered plant species, the Rare and Endangered Plants Committee of NPSO will present descriptions and photos of these species on this website. We plan to describe four to six species each year.
