PLANT INDUSTRIES - GRAIN INSPECTION
Grain Inspection
Seed Laboratory personnel provide grain inspection, training, and grading
services to grain mills throughout the state. The Seed Laboratory examines
and issues licenses to operators who inspect grain in Delaware. All grain
mill employees must be licensed and grain testing equipment registered
with DDA. Grain mills are certified each year (Title
3 Chapter 16 - Grain Inspection, Certification, and Grain Contracts).
These operators are licensed for a two-year period. The license fee is
$10.00 per two-year period and the revenues go into the State General
Fund.
