If you are in a hurry for a livestock brand and don´t have a particular design in mind, check available livestock brands for a listing of brands which have already been researched and which are probably still available. The available brands are listed in "Brand-abetical" order.
If you find a brand you would like to record, print the new application form
(brand application in pdf format 44kB), fill it out, drawing in the design you would like to record. Please include the file number shown in the available livestock brands database.
Mail the signed request form with the required $25 application/ recording fee to:

If no one else has requested the brand it will be reserved in your name and a letter of instruction, the necessary registration forms, and a billing for the additional fees fees due will be mailed to you.

|
The "available livestock brands" are available only for the location and kind of animal shown (for example: right shoulder cattle, left hip horse, etc).
To record the same design for any other location or animal, the Brand Recorder must check for conflicts with other recorded brands.
This would take the normal new-brand processing time, which is generally 10 to 12 working days.
