Sometimes Web Surfing Isn’t Enough: Take a Guided Campus Tour

Campus guided tours are led by UW undergraduates who combine knowledge of our historic campus with information about the student experience.

During the tour you’ll have the chance to ask questions about academics, student life, residence halls, research opportunities, life in the Emerald City, study abroad, and much more. Please register online for a campus tour prior to your visit.

  • Guided tours are offered Monday through Friday, at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. (except state holidays and some holiday weekends.) Please check online registration for details.
  • We also offer Saturday tours at 10:30 a.m.
  • Weekday tours leave from Schmitz Hall, 3rd floor lobby, and last 90 minutes. (The Saturday tour leaves from the George Washington statue, located next to the Henry Art Gallery.) Comfortable walking shoes and—when it looks like rain—an umbrella are advised.
  • For arrangements to visit academic departments, please contact that department directly.
  • You are also welcome to attend a class in your academic area of interest. Choose from among more than 50 classes. Drop-in course schedule
  • Groups of 15 or more should make reservations at least four weeks in advance.
  • Registered for a tour already, but need to cancel or change the date? No cause for concern; simply re-register for a date that works better for you – there is no need to call or email our office directly as the system will update with your new reservation. Any other questions about tour registration or location? Contact our office at 206-543-9686.
