Directions to USGS's FFC from the South part of town - marked in yellow (which would include driving from Phoenix or the Flagstaff airport):
As you come into town you will be on I-17 North bound, which will automatically become South Milton Road. (North is towards the mountains). Continue North on S. Milton Road. When you pass under the railroad overpass and make a sharp right you're now on Route 66.
At the 3rd traffic light turn left (this will be San Francisco St.). Continue North on San Francisco St. until you go past the hospital (on your left). The next stop light will be at Forest Ave., where you will turn right.
Continue to the top of the mesa, where you will turn left onto Gemini Drive which leads to Buffalo Park. The USGS's FFC is the only complex of buildings on Gemini Drive. Take the 2nd USGS driveway. The Southwest Biological Science Center, Colorado Plateau Research Station, and the Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center are all located in the Dutton Building (Building 4).
