GM Food & Feed - Comments from the Public

One new EFSA opinion on genetically modified maize for food and feed uses has been published on the 18 December 2008. In accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 on genetically modified food and feed, the public may make comments on this opinion during 1 month.

In an effort to raise awareness among children about the importance of treating farmed animals in a respectful and humane way, the European Commission has launched "Farmland," the European children's website on animal welfare to learn about the farming of animals and the origin of our food.
