Leadership gifts from alumni, parents of current students, parents of alumni, grandparents, local businesses and vendors, faculty, staff, friends, foundations, and other organizations are greatly appreciated. These gifts make up a significant portion of the total gifts given each year to the Annual Fund. The impact of these gifts deserve special merit and recognition. The college has created special gift societies for that purpose. These include:
The President's Society recognizes individuals and organizations who invest $10,000 or more.
The H. Leslie Sawyer Society honors one of the college's most beloved presidents. Membership in this society recognizes donors who contribute $5,000 to $9,999.
The Mt. Kearsarge Society recognizes donors who make gifts of $2,500 to $4,999.
Susan Colby, teacher and first principal of Colby Academy, also was one of the college's most significant benefactors. She is the inspiration for this giving society which honors donors who give $1,000 to $2,499.
Eugene M. Austin, second president of Colby-Sawyer, led an impressive expansion of the college's physical facilities and academic programs in the late '50s and early '60s. This society recognizes donors who contribute gifts of $500 to $999.
Formed to recognize recent graduates from 1994-2008.
