Central Coast Wilds, a division of Ecological Concerns Incorporated, is dedicated to restoring ecological structure and function to degraded ecosystems, creating and enhancing wildlife habitat, and the conservation of local genetic resources through native plant revegetation.
Our work is motivated by our concern over the continuing threats of loss of biodiversity, native species extinction, and the desertification of North America's bioregions. We believe that these trends can be reversed through the application of ecological principles to land-use planning.
Central Coast Wilds specializes in meeting the needs of individuals, businesses, farmers, and planners looking for an alternative to traditional landscape methods.
Whether your project is a home landscape renovation, a large commercial installation, creating a regional open space plan, or you simply need guidance in identifying and selecting native plants for beneficial insect attraction or erosion control, Central Coast Wilds is ready and able to meet your native plant needs.
LBAM NOTICE:
Central Coast Wilds is deeply concerned with the outbreaks of Light Brown Apple Moth in Santa Cruz County. At our nursery we are taking special precautions using organic methods. In the past we had a holding period before plants could be released from our nursery.
Currently LBAM is NOT found at our nursery and plants can be released from our premises the day that customers purchase them. The USDA is routinely checking our nursery for LBAM and if the moth is found we may have to reinstate a 24-hour holding period. We recommend that you call before visiting to become familiar with our most current protocol. Thank you for your patience and support during this moth eradication procedure.
