cultural events committee

The Cultural Events Committee sponsors many of the cultural and educational events on campus. The committee is comprised of students, faculty, and staff members who review and discuss various performers and then decide which events to bring to campus. These events include dance troupes, theater troupes, various musical groups from chamber music and orchestras to folk and ethnic music as well as educational lecturers. The goal of the committee is to extend what is occurring inside the classroom by offering a variety of cultural and educational programs that enhance the curriculum of a given semester, as well as help meet the college's learning outcomes. Other cultural events on campus include the art gallery openings, the student theater productions and some of the Campus Activities Board events.
