Teton County Weed and Pest District

The Teton County Weed and Pest District (TCWP) offers several options to assist you with controlling noxious weeds on your property.

  1. Free noxious weed consultations - Upon request, we will walk your property with you in search of noxious weeds. If some are found, we will give you recommendations on how to treat them.
  2. 50% cost share on herbicides - If you decide to treat the noxious weeds yourself, we will sell you the proper herbicides at a 50% cost share.
  3. Equipment loans - To make the process even easier, we will also loan out backpack sprayers and for larger properties, 4-wheelers.
  4. TCWP works closely with the Teton Conservation District's (TCD) - Cost Share Program. Please click the link below to find out more or call the TCD at

Teton Conservation District - Noxious Weed Cost Share Program

The Conservation District will reimburse participants 50% of the cost of treating noxious weeds on their property if they are approved for the program (based on TCD’s application criteria) and complete the program requirements.  Landowners are required to treat their noxious weeds according to county law.  TCD will be working in cooperation with Teton County Weed & Pest and Teton County landowners to assist in the treatment of Teton County ’s noxious weed problem.  Robb Sgroi will coordinate this program for TCD from May to the end of October.

Applicants will fill out an application and return it to the Teton Conservation District, an evaluation of the noxious weeds on the property will be done and a treatment plan devised, a decision will be made whether to fund the project or not by TCD, treatment of the weeds will take place and a follow-up visit will be done.  If everything is completed as agreed upon, participants will be reimbursed for 50% of the cost of treating their noxious weeds.  Please contact the Teton Conservation District office at 733-2110 for an application or visit our website at tetonconservation.org.
