- The Alien Plants Ranking System A computer-implemented decision-support system for land managers make difficult decisions concerning invasive nonnative plants.
- The Fort Collins Science Center (FORT) conducts research and develops technical applications to assist land managers and natural resource decision makers in managing biological resources, habitats, and ecosystems. Five Science Programs, including Invasive Species Science.
- The USGS Southwest Biological Science Center addresses critical research needs in the Southwestern U.S., including water use and the effects of livestock grazing, wildland fires, invasive species, environmental contaminants, declining populations of native species and urban development. Field stations: Canyonlands, Colorado Plateau, Grand Canyon Monitoring and Research Center, Sonoran Desert. SWEPIC, the Southwest Exotic Plant Information Clearinghouse is one of the research arms of SBCS.

- E-answers is a searchable Web site that offers more than 250,000 pages of university information and education. The practical, current, and unbiased information in this site represents the work of Extension Service and Agricultural Experiment Station professionals at more than 50 Land Grant universities throughout the United States.
- IPM Centers. The Western IPM Center is one of four IPM centers funded by USDA/CSREES. The four centers operate independently to address the unique IPM needs within their region.

- Evaluating Risk to Native Plant Communities from Selected Exotic Plant Species A program to help land managers in Montana and Northern Idaho identify the native plant communities most threatened by invasive plants; prioritize and strategize weed management efforts.
- USFS Invasive Plant Regional Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Region 6 (Washington and Oregon). Covers invasive plants, economic costs and projections of different control methods, and potential costs of delaying management efforts.

Multi-Agency Organizations
- The National Invasive Species Council is an interdepartmental council organized to ensure complementary, cost-efficient and effective Federal activities regarding invasive species, in partnership with the Invasive Species Advisory Committee. ISAC has developed a white paper that defines "invasive species" to provide a non-regulatory policy interpretation by identifying what is/is not meant by the term.
- The Federal Interdepartmental Committee for the Management of Noxious and Exotic Weeds, FICMNEW, is a partnership of 17 federal natural resource management agencies organized to address research and management of noxious, exotic, invasive and poisonous weeds on Native American and Federal natural resource lands.

United States
- IPAW, the Invasive Plants Association of Wisconsin, seeks to provide information and resources to combat the spread of noxious, invasive plants in Wisconsin. Excellent resource with photo gallery, plant lists, control info, important links, and much more.
- The Mid-Atlantic Regional Panel on Aquatic Invasive Species. The mission of the MAP is to assist state and federal agencies and other stakeholders in developing and implementing strategic, coordinated, action-oriented approaches to preventing and controlling AIS in the mid-Atlantic region.
- National Association of EPPCs, NAEPPC .org. With links to regional and state EPPCs.
- NAWMA, the North American Weed Management Association, provides education, regulatory direction, professional improvement, and environmental awareness to protect our natural resources from the impacts of exotic, invasive noxious weeds.
- The Union of Concerned Scientists—Invasive Species is an independent nonprofit alliance of more than 100,000 concerned citizens and scientists. Offers invasion portfolios to spotlight the environmental and economic damage that invasive species cause in individual states.
- The Weed Science Society of America (WSSA) promotes the study of weeds and their impact on the environment, and publishes Weed Science and Weed Technology. Links to weed photos, weed I.D., and current job listings.
- The Western Weed Coordinating Committee include state agriculture departments and federal land managers at the local, regional and national levels.
- Western Regional Panel on Aquatic Nuisance Species organized to protect western aquatic resources.
- The Western Society of Weed Science (WSWS) consists of weed science professionals working in western North America. Membership is open to anyone interested in promoting weed science research and education.
International
- European Weed Research Society — Support for international collaboration in weed science; publishes the journal Weed Research
- Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations — Activities, publications, databases and other technical information at Weed Management.
- The International Organization for Biological Control promotes environmentally safe methods of pest and disease control in plant protection.
- The International Weed Science Society Find links to many international weed organizations
- Southern African Weed Science Society (SAWSS). The Society’s mission is to improve control of agricultural weeds and the alien invader plants that threaten our natural environment, and to support the use of the most efficient and environmentally friendly control methods, i.e. to improve soil, water and atmosphere as well as plant and animal life.

- The Audubon Society maintains the Stop Invasives page.
- The Association of Fish & Wildlife Agencies represents all of North America's fish and wildlife agencies; promotes sound management and conservation; speaks with a unified voice of fish and wildlife issues.
- Updated Conservation Directory for 2007 from CPC now online. Search by expertise and state; maps and related fields also updated. Very useful directory to agencies, nonprofits, and more.
- Defenders of Wildlife—Getting Up To Speed: A Conservationist’s Guide to Wildlife and Highways. Covers Law, Policy and Governance; Anatomy of a Road; Natural Environment; and Advocacy.
- Enlibra Resource Guide — click on "organizations" for a varied list of conservation groups.
- The Invasive Species Specialist Group (ISSG) is a specialist group of the Species Survival Commission (SSC) of the World Conservation Union (IUCN). ISSG maintains an online database of 100 of the World's Worst Invasive Species.
- The Nature Conservancy: Invasives on the Web
- The ConserveOnline library is created and maintained by TNC and other conservation organizations. Find documents and other resources in the ConserveOnline library and on other conservation-related websites.
- NatureServe and its network of natural heritage programs offer information about rare and endangered species, threatened ecosystems, and invasive species.
- The 100th Meridian Initiative is a cooperative effort between state, provincial, and federal agencies to prevent the westward spread of zebra mussels and other aquatic nuisance species in North America.
- The Plant Conservation Alliance is a consortium of ten federal government Member agencies and over 220 non-federal Cooperators representing various disciplines within the conservation field. Its mission is "To protect native plants by ensuring that native plant populations and their communities are maintained, enhanced, and restored."
- The Alien Plant Working Group sponsors Weeds Gone Wild, an informative website with plant lists, fact sheets, and more.
- IPC, the Invasive Plant Council of New York State, is an APWG sibling organization.
