Colorado State Parks has managed the Snowmobile Program since its inception in 1977. Through a longstanding partnership between Colorado State Parks and the Colorado Snowmobile Association (CSA), this program has grown substantially over the years.
The Snowmobile Program also funds the Snowmobile Safety Certification Program for young operators, helps support the avalanche warning system and provides for patrol services to ensure safe snowmobiling and registration compliance. Visit the Snowmobile Safety page for more information.
Snowmobile Registrations: Colorado residents registering a new vehicle, renewing a registration, or obtaining a permit for out-of-state vehicles (nonresidents) helps fund trail grooming, trailheads, parking areas, trail signs, maps, and new grooming equipment. Snowmobiles must be registered with Colorado State Parks’ Snowmobile Program.
