2-1-1 Maine, in cooperation with statewide health and human service agencies, is listing resources for those who wish to make a contribution to a heating assistance donation program. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month educates women abut the importance of early detection.

The Maine Breast and Cervical Health Program help women between the ages of 35-64 that are either uninsured or underinsured and are at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. The Maine Breast and Cervical Health Program pays for annual exams including a pelvic exam, Pap test, clinical breast exam and a mammogram and also some follow up work if you need it. Aroostook County Prescription Assistance Program

   

2-1-1 Maine partners with health organizations to bring low or no cost prescriptions to

Aroostook County residents.

Free or low cost prescription drugs for Aroostook County residents could be just a phone call away, thanks to a new county-wide collaborative. The goal of this collaborative is to work together to increase Aroostook County residents’ access to important prescription drugs. 2-1-1 Maine call specialists will be able to put Aroostook County residents in touch with information about patient assistance programs that could lead to free or nearly free prescription drugs.
