The 1st International Conference on Advanced Lithium Batteries for Automotive Applications will be held at Argonne National Laboratory on September 15-17, 2008 at the APS Conference Center, Building 402.

Registration Deadlines

U.S. Citizens: September 10, 2008

Non-U.S. Citizens: September 2, 2008 INCLUDING Foreign National Access Request form

All registration forms for the meeting MUST be returned by these dates. The registration forms contain information necessary to issue a Gate Pass for Argonne National Laboratory.

Registration Forms

For U.S. citizens – you need only fill out the meeting registration form.

  • Meeting Registration (Word or PDF) – this form must be filled out by all conference attendees and returned to Argonne's Conference Services by September 10, 2008. See instructions on the form for returning it to Argonne with your registration fees. When you arrive at the Argonne Visitor Center you must present a photo I.D., such as a driver's license or passport.

For non-U.S. citizens – you MUST fill out TWO forms below.

  • Meeting Registration (Word or PDF) – this form must be filled out by all conference attendees and returned to Argonne's Conference Services by September 2, 2008. See instructions on the form for returning it to Argonne with your registration fees. When you arrive at the Argonne Visitor Center you must present a photo I.D., such as a driver's license or passport.
  • Foreign National Access Request (Word or PDF) – this form MUST be filled out by ALL foreign nationals who plan to attend the meeting and returned by September 2, 2008. This form should be sent to Carolyn Edmonson by e-mail (cedmonson@anl.gov) or by fax (1-630-252-4176).

When you arrive at the Argonne Visitor Center to pick up your Gate Pass, you must present your original passport, original visa and/or I-94 or I-94W (Departure Record). If the expiration date on the I-94 or I-94W reads D/S (Duration of Status), you must present the supporting immigration documentation (i.e., I-20, DS-2019). Failure to do so may delay your access to the site.

Entering the Laboratory

Please enter Argonne at the Northgate entrance off of Cass Avenue (see map). A photo I.D., such as a driver's license or passport, is required for site access. You must go to the Argonne Visitor Center located by the Guard Post, identify yourself as an attendee at the conference, and pick up your Gate Pass. You must prominently display your Gate Pass above your waist while on site.

If you plan to enter the Laboratory for the first time before or after normal business hours (6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.), or on weekends, please proceed directly to the Guard Post. All vehicles entering the site are subject to search.

Conference Check-In On the First Day of the Meeting

Conference check-in will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, September 15, in the atrium of Building 402, APS Conference Center (see map for location).
