Resource Stewardship Advisory Group

The State Parks Strategic Plan 2005-2009 calls for the formation of a Natural Resource Interdisciplinary Team, now called the Stewardship Technical Advisory Group (STAG).  We are currently in the process of forming this critical group. 

The goals of STAG will be to review and advise on the Stewardship Planning Process and contribute to Best Management Practices and Resource Prescriptions.  They will also identify baseline resource training needs and standards for all Parks employees to enhance natural resource management.

The council will consist of one member of the Stewardship Team, one member of the leadership team and several field staff members from various parks throughout the state. 

The first STAG meeting is being scheduled for Fall 2007.  To nominate a member of park staff for STAG, please contact Stewardship.
